Next Lord of the Underworld. It’s Aeron’s turn. For weeks he’s sensed a female presence watching him and she scares Legion away because she’s an Angel and kills demons. Only she can’t fulfill her duties and kill Aeron. It means she’s gonna fall and be mortal.

Aww poor Olivia. She fell for him and he denies her. Mostly because he can’t resist her. Also I think her and Legion would get along well once they get to know each other. Legion kinda reminds me of Simi from the dark hunters series. Also we need to teach Livie how to walk.

Uhoh. Legion found out about Olivia. She’s just gone to kill her.

Of course we jump to something completely different right when Legion leaps at Olivia. So we don’t get to know yet that Aeron got there in time and protected her. Which of course he’s gonna do.

That was great. Olivia got drunk for the first time with Gideon. She’s apparently a weepy drunk. She then also told Aeron the way he could help her become an Angel again. He’s gonna let her kill him so she can return to heaven. Oh boy.

Oh dear. That was dumb. Legion you even said that all Lucifer’s deals only benefit him. You’ve just given him free reign on earth to kill the Lords.

What!! Omg that is important information. Cronus and his wife are Lords too they hold strife and greed. Well I can totally see Cronus being greed. It makes so much sense.

What!? Gideon has a wife that he doesn’t remember. That’s interesting. I’m thinking I should have brought the next book in this series on this trip.

Oh no that’s not good. Like there is not enough book to resolve all this bad. First we have the unspoken ones, who are evil by the way, banking both sides. They know where the last artifact is and will tell whichever side brings them Cronus’ head, by which they release his demon, greed, as well as his hold on the unspoken ones. We have a prophetic painting showing Galen taking Cronus’ head. Galen stole Olivia and she is currently being tortured by the hunters. Lysander offered to take her home if she would just ask. She won’t though because she promised Aeron that she’d see him and say goodbye before she went back to heaven. Legion messed up with Aeron and is now on her way to save Olivia for him. Also, if she doesn’t sleep with Aeron Lucifer will possess her and kill all the Lords. Oh and we have another prophetic painting showing Lysander holding Aeron’s head in the presence of Cronus and his bitch wife Rhea. Oh yeah this is going so well right now.

Well Lysander killed Aeron. Wrath was released and given to Sienna, Olivia is a joy bringer Angel again, Legion is currently being tortured in hell with plans being made to rescue her, Aeron went to the afterlife and found Baden and Pandora. He got released by Olivia and he’ll be just an immortal warrior like before they opened Pandora’s box. That’s exactly where we ended. I like Gena’s books but they never seem to end on a completely happy note.

I finally got book two of this series. We have Sir Iain who lost his wife. She appears to have been killed by some enemy dude. He’s commanded by Scotland’s king to remarry to unite two powerful clans. Islaen has eleven brothers so little time for romance but longed for more than a forced marriage.

I thought some enemy killed his wife. Now though we are saying she died in childbirth. I’m confused.

Well this is looking bright and chipper. Like all the women want to kill her to get her husband or just seduce him away from her. Then there are the two degenerates that wanted to marry her for her money that are now going to be out to kill him so they can marry her. This is gonna end very well. And we are only on chapter two.

I mean you concealed your boobs for six years what’s concealing your first pregnancy for a few months. This is going to end badly.

Oh yay. She’s pregnant. Now the deception starts. Let’s see how long she can keep this up and who figures it out. Also, she has two guys trying to kill her to get revenge against Iain.

Wait a minute she was for sure pregnant when Fraser kidnapped her. Oh wait I figured it out. The first time he tried to rape her.

Well I liked that. I’m glad he decided that he loved her before they were attacked by the crazy dude.

Oh my. Well disaster number one. She didn’t catch the shrimp, fell out of her chair and injured herself in some way and caught the suite on fire. Yep this going well. They’re gonna kill Thatch when they find out.

You don’t ever say that Georgie. That’s like asking for more things to go wrong.

Oh dear. I’m pretty sure you just got invited to a swingers party Georgia.

That was fun and way quicker than their usual novellas. I think it’s funny how they were so paranoid by the end. The hot air balloon probably wasn’t even for them.

Alright I’m going to Grace Goodwin’s new series. There are three of them out now. So apparently there is this game that released on earth but it’s actually a training simulation and if you beat the game you complete training and go to join the star fighters.

This one was pretty good. It was different than the rest of hers that the girls were fighting and coming to the rescue of the guys. Yeah I know some of the girls in the interstellar brides were bad ass fighters but it always felt like the guy was there to take on the hard stuff for her. This one he’s just sort of there and we dealt with the whole having to accept that you killed people even if they were bad guys. I liked it.

Another Vanessa book. This is from the historical series. Our girl is about to get married but her husband is a dick and she breaks things off. She gets rescued by our lovely ranchers. This time it’s a trio who wants to share her.

I don’t know why I got this one. I know I don’t like the historical series as much as her other stuff. I should have gotten one of the others but I want to have that sense of accomplishment that I finished the series. It was just sort of meh.

Back to Vanessa Vale. This one our girl agrees to be a mail order bride after she thinks she killed a man. Only problem, her new husband is the sheriff. She’s worried about how he will react when he finds out about her past.

I liked this one. It was a quick read but had a good flow. It was an enjoyable read. It was a bit predictable though. The only thing I didn’t see was the letter from the Madame. I thought he’d find out another way more to do with his role as sheriff.

Oh boy. I have a bad feeling. He’s going to pull away and not consummate tonight. She’s going to think it’s because he doesn’t actually care for her and withdraw more.

Ok well they needed to talk things out way earlier. It was still good though. I wish we had a bit more resolution with her step mother or found out she’s pregnant.

Now for the new one. Nesta is recovering after being made and what she witnessed and experienced during the war. Obviously things will heat up with her and Cassian because he can’t leave her alone. Then those little bitches, also known as the human queens, are stirring up trouble as everyone struggles to create peace in this new world.

Well now I want to know what happened at that barge party. If it was enough to put Amren in a pissy mood because of Nesta something good had to have happened.

Well this is good. We send Cassian to play court games and find out someone is stealing Fae soldiers and that the sorcerer who owns Vassa is not a sorcerer but the bone carvers older brother. This is going to end well.

That’s important information right there. Beron has pledged to support Briallyn. That’s not good news.

Lol I love that she actually talks to the House out loud. Also, that everyone is giving her grief about it.

Two things. Rhys is shielding her now very heavily. Does he know something? Or is he going to freak out more when he finds out she’s pregnant. Also he’s shielding her scent so like how far along is she gonna be before we even find out.

Aww Gwyn. You do deserve to wear your gem. You are worthy.

Nothing tried to eat me today. You mean something tried to eat you on another day? Lol I’m dying. Also knowing Cassian he’d march himself down there right now and slay whatever it was.

Whoop. Well we knew that was coming. Are they going to just kiss or are we going to have some hate sex going on up at the House.

Oh this is good. What story would be complete without a race to see who can claim the objects of power first. The mask, the harp and the crown. All with pretty terrible powers if in the wrong hands.

Yes!! So we find out he’s not practicing shields. He knew she was pregnant and has been shielding her even her scent so others wouldn’t know.

Lol the baby has wings and he had to like whisper it like it’s something bad. Although that has to feel weird for Feyre.

Sorry I’m just teasing you. I won’t sleep with you until you’re looking pretty again. I don’t sleep with males that look like they’ve just been in a tavern brawl. Lol I kinda like Nesta right now.

Then Az and I will draw straws like the warriors we are and loser goes in the water. Lol. I love Sarah’s writing.

Oh Cassian you have no idea. They are training to be the next Valkyrie. They are going to be an elite female fighting force is this next war.

This is not gonna be good. That was not the right thing to say to her. Cassian you need to work on your tact.

You’ve done it now Nesta. She just told Feyre that she’s gonna die in childbirth in her fit of rage. Rhys is gonna be pissed.

I’m way too invested in the romance. I want Cassian and Nesta to be mates. Like officially. Az needs someone too. I haven’t figured out who yet. I wanted Elain, but I guess she’ll get Lucien. Then Emerie just sighed over Mor and now I want that to be a thing.

She does like the fairy tale references. We had Snow White and the huntsman earlier now Rumpelstiltskin and the first born here with Eris.

Oh Az you just threw down a challenge and you didn’t know it. Az is the new ribbon. Lol.

Whoop there it is. Cassian finally said it. They are mates!

Well that’s not good.

Oh dear. Like we are almost at the end. This much bad shit can’t be happening. I’m not liking where this is headed.

I’m like hyperventilating. Nesta just called Cassian her mate and he’s not gonna know she accepted it because that bitch queen stole him.

Um well that just happened. I’m never ever gonna piss Nesta off. She just shook the whole world and turned bitch queen to ashes. Like obliterated her from existence.

Aww that was such a great ending. I loved it. I like that there is still more to be told but it’s not a cliff hanger. This was a great read.

This is part of why I love Sarah. She writes the emotion so well. Everyone is dealing with their emotional trauma after the pain and loss that occurred during the war.

Moving right along. We have Feyre hiding her bond with Rhys and being a spy in the spring court. She’s high lady of night. Hybern is still pushing his war. Tamlin is still a tool. Lucien mated Elain but she’s at night and away from him. Anyway a lot going on. I think I’ve only read this one once so I’m not sure how much I remember.

You go Feyre. Not only protecting your mind but the Tool’s and Lucien’s too. You are a totally bad ass High Lady.

Lucien seemed inclined to sink into his seat and disappear forever. Lol I’m sure you feel that way buddy. Your high lord thinks you’re getting it on with his girl. I’d want to disappear too.

Amren is the best. You should kill like seven people so the handsome one becomes high lord of autumn. Just said as like a casual greeting.

Oh Feyre, starting revolutions wherever you go. Now all the wives of the high lords will want to be high ladies too. Lol.

Ok so I think I totally blocked out that Rhys died when they were reforming the cauldron. I’m pretty sure I just wanted to deny that it happened. I feel like a lot happens in that last battle and I’m glad I reread this one because I definitely didn’t remember all of that. Also I thought we told Helion or Lucien that they are father and son, but that didn’t happen. Maybe it’s in the novella between. Guess I’ll find out when I start through that.
