I’m jumping genres a lot right now. This one our girl has a soft heart. She runs the forever home shelter and hears about dog fights so obviously goes to try and stop it. Of course these aren’t ordinary dogs they’re shifters. Our pack alpha is trying to save his pack who has been forced into fighting rings. Of course she’s gonna save them and be his mate.

Oh girl you’re gonna need more than two beers in a minute. He’s not just a wolf he’s a werewolf and he’s about to change for the first time in six months. You’re gonna freak.

Hmm I think the grammatical errors and the ambiguity in some sections made it hard to stay in the moment. There were some parts where I felt like I needed more background or the way it was worded made it seem like I should have known more background. I think they had a cute relationship but I do agree that he pushed her a bit too hard. I know everyone deals with their grief differently, but she’d been drowning for so long it seemed a bit quick that he was able to help her move on.

Ok I kinda liked that one except it made it seem like our guy was like a shady businessman at the beginning but then a legit one at the end. If it had been clear that he was a straight shooting billionaire from the beginning I would have liked it better.

Hmm. I feel like that was a bit weird. She went camping to get away from the drug dealers that were after her. Sprains her ankle and gets taken in by these four guys like living away from the world because of their pasts. They all fall in love and make their own little off grid mountain living life.

Well that was all sex and no story. I was kinda ok with that. Although at the end it sounds like they are going to actually pursue a relationship. How is that gonna work with her having slept with two of his friends and the one about to get married lusts after her and has seen her naked.

I thought he was in town for a wedding. He’s actually in town for work. He’s the consultant evaluating her school for budget department cuts.

Omg I didn’t see that coming. Jake is married. I’m sure there’s an explanation. Is she gonna wait around to hear it.

They are at a gala and he warns her not to bid on the time share. It was for Branson which is where my parents bought into theirs. I just found it funny.

I’m so sad that she had to be attacked again for them to get back together. I’m glad she got the help she needed and I can’t believe we didn’t get the proposal but it sounds like he had the ring and was ready to. I liked this read though. It was pretty good.

So our girl has a crush on her best friends big brother only he hates her and only sees her as a dumb blonde who’ll ruin her company. She needs help though and he’s the only one she can turn to. With a little black mail she’ll get what she needs.

Well I thought Aria was going to black mail him but she had Cassie do it instead.

Hmm. I think I got a bit bored at the end and was just ready for it to be over after they finally got together. I think Cassie was a bit harsh when Aria told them she’d slept with Lucas. It all worked out in the end though.

I guess they beat Paul to the barn. I think Paul is having trouble because he is attracted to Jack. He just doesn’t know how to process that yet.

Hmm. I liked the him having to come around to being bi. It was good but I feel like it had more story than the others which had more sex. I still enjoyed it though.

I found the full set of the boot knockers ranch for super cheap. It’s been five years since I read the first one but it sounds like this is a whole new couple so I don’t think I need to remember much. This one our girl is looking for help to get over her guilt during sex because of her upbringing. She gets the ranch bad boy who has some secrets that maybe love can help him face.

Oh I think Damien can’t write or is dyslexic or something. That seems early to give me such a blatant hint to his secrets.

This may be slightly bitter of me but girl I understand. It’s really hard to get behind the nerdy unattractive guys you’ve been seeing so it’s easy to fall into old habits and feel guilty, but when some cut hunk pays you attention it’s super easy to fall in bed with him have a good time and not feel guilty. Sorry that was very snarky of me. I think they could have a good relationship if we actually talk and not just stay in bed.

Ok it actually turned out kinda sweet. He left the ranch and she’s teaching him to read and write. Also, she’s pregnant now. I kinda like that she figured out that he couldn’t read on her own and he didn’t have to tell her.

This is a box set that I’m going to write as one entry. We start with A Gentleman’s Promise. Here we go.

A Gentleman’s Promise: I felt so bad for her. I didn’t understand her relationship with Mason. I think I needed a bit more with them to get it. Then her dad not believing him but then when she says she’s leaving her husband he’s totally chill and supportive. Meh.

A Captains Order: um wow that just happened and I didn’t even get any of the good stuff. She spent six months on a ship and slept with the captain out of wedlock and we didn’t get any details. Oh wait we have his chapter now and we go back in time. We might get some details. Wow. That went around a bit more than expected considering how short it was. I was kinda hoping she was pregnant.

A Marriage Made in Mayfair: I’m confused I thought he sold all his horses and carriages. Hmm. I’m not quite sure why her brother was so mad at him that he couldn’t even let his sister be happy. There were some inconsistencies in this one. Then she was three months pregnant and y’all had sex so you saw all of her, how did you not know dude.

I think the second one was my favorite, but they were all alright.
