This was originally a webtoon that has now been published as a book. It’s a new take on mythology and the gods. Specifically Persephone and Hades.

I really enjoyed that except for the end where I think Apollo raped Persephone. That and it ended kinda in the middle. I know I could go out and find the webtoons out there somewhere but I think I’ll wait until the next volume comes out in July. Maybe I should have waited to read this one until closer to the release of two or even three.

Dungeon Master

Our dungeon master got divorced but they have kept playing after they split. She’s moved on and dating other people but he wants her back. He goes to try to win her to find her with someone else. He won her once before and believes he can do it again.

Lol Gavin trying to be open with his feelings and his friend recoiling like um no you aren’t supposed to do that. You’re supposed to say I’m fine and we move on like nothing is tearing you apart inside. I’m not the right person for this. Lol. I just find it humorous.

You’ll get answers sooner. We sent over spies. Lol that’s the best kind of friends.

That wasn’t quite what I expected from this author. It was good and different than the romance I normally read. They had been married and divorced and yet were working to get over past hurts and work things out. I was a bit slow getting through the beginning but then it picked up. Overall it was a good read.

Drop Dead Gorgeous

I’m going back to this author. I’m this one our girl is a coroner and has trouble dating. Until she almost kills a guy with her car. He sells life insurance and has fallen head over heels.

So I didn’t write anything while I was reading this one. I was around other people though while I was reading so I told them about it. I am a bit confused how she thought he only showed interest in her because of the case. I’m pretty sure he came after you because you hit him with your car and didn’t fill out the paperwork not because of what’s his faces death. Then her town was weird in how they thought she was ok with being avoided, etc for being bad luck. I enjoyed this one but it wasn’t as laugh out loud funny as some of the others by this author. I’m not sure what would have made it better though. Maybe it was pacing? It was a bit slower at the beginning then more action packed at the end.

Highland Destiny

Back to the highlands I go. This is the start of the Murray brothers. They end up wounded and down the same road as Maldie Kirkaldy and she offered her services as nurse. They discover they share a common goal and enemy, but Maldie can’t reveal her identity nor deny her attraction.

So I’m not coming as your visitor, I’m being commanded to come. It would make your stay more pleasant if you view it as an invitation. I’m not sure I can lie that big to myself. Lol this has a promising start.

But herself was not feeling inclined to listen. lol

I don’t think I enjoyed this one as much as the others by this author. They got together way too early and I’m not sure exactly what else happened besides them getting together. Like all the action was at the beginning and the end. The middle was a bit slow. Overall though I enjoyed reading it and want to know how Nigel fairs in his quest to get over his love for his brothers wife.

I really enjoyed that one. I haven’t read the books in the series that this is apparently the prequel to but I really enjoyed this. I thought they both had enough hurt to cause delays in their relationship, but also that she’s confident enough to stand up for herself and hold him to the high standards she deserves. Anyway I liked this one.

Back to regency for a bit to prep for the next season of Bridgerton. This is book two in the series. It’s been a bit since I read book one but hers aren’t too connected so it shouldn’t be an issue. Lady Henrietta plans to inherit her fathers business and make her own fortune. Bold for a young lady of that time. This is great, she finds a beautiful man tied up in her carriage. I wish that would happen to me girl. Of course he becomes the competition. This should be good.

We are a paragraph in and I love her already. She wants to wear trousers but since she can’t she puts pockets in all her dresses to hold rope and a knife. You know the vitally important stuff.

Hattie is my spirit animal. No I didn’t want a sweet I just wanted to be offered a sweet if you are having one. Lol. This is great. I’m enjoying this a lot.

Duh. Of course he wants to be that man. I hope you get a refund for putting up with his shit.

Wow Hattie has some balls but dude. What else would you have asked for in return? You are more like Beast than you think. That was kinda ruthless. I like it.

It was mutual. Lol. Sure you consented your being thrown out of a moving carriage. Sure Beast I’m sure when I stop peeing my pants with laughter I’ll believe that.

I really enjoyed that one. It reminds me why I like this author. I can’t wait for the last book. Grace comes out of the woodwork and we’ll find out more about her and the current Duke and what all happened with them all those years ago.

Forbidden Montana Love

This is an ARC. He was never meant to meet her, she was his family’s enemy now she’s his wife. He falls for her but apparently has secrets that will drive her away. Let’s go.

Um wow we got to that tidbit quickly. I’ve just brought you too a secluded private place found out your name and dropped the bomb that your dad killed my mom. Yep that seems legit.

I’m confused is this a historical or contemporary romance? Some of the language and events seem historical but then there are other parts that seem more contemporary.

What is he hiding? Also, like what was the point of seeing her uncle? Is he the thief or was it truly all his daughters? And why are we finding out some new hurdle to her inheritance every time we turn around, like the water rights deal with his dad.

I enjoyed this one. They had hiccups in their relationship but it was never because they wouldn’t talk to each other which is one of my pet peeves. It was really just that they married strangers and his stepdad and her uncle were horrible people. I think the calving season but was a tad too long but other than that a very enjoyable read.

One she’s using the thin paper again and I’m afraid I’m gonna rip it. Then she dedicated the book to her baby boy and I’m gonna cry it’s so sweet.

Yes I’m not surprised that the sprites refuse to accept that they were kicked out of their house. I haven’t actually started the book yet and I love it. I’ve only read the map and the description of the houses of Midgard.

Does anyone else find it ironic that a fire sprite guards the archives, which I assume are paper?

Omg what is happening right now. Bryce you better be tripping right now. I can’t handle this emotional damage this early into the book.

Oh come on it wasn’t Briggs that’s just too obvious. He was framed. Bitch wolf lady planned the whole thing.

Did Danika know? Is that why she left the sword with Bryce?

You cannot use that line. That’s the TOG line that makes me cry because of Sam now I’m never going to be able to hear that line and not just breakdown into an inconsolable weepy mess.

I like it she vacuumed him up. What? Archangel, there was no archangel here. Hahaha.

Wow. Like that was wild. That wasn’t my favorite of hers I felt like we went back and forth way too much on what was happening as well as emotionally. Also, a lot happened right there at the end. I don’t know I think I’ll get the second one but this one has a pretty solid ending.

Stay Sexy Don’t Get Murdered

I feel like the title pretty much says it all. I liked the title. It sounded interesting so I thought I’d give it a try.

Well that hit close to home with her mom. I know that’s not my mom but we went through some of that with my grandma. Then just the premise of the chapter. I’m so guilty of not doing that I just go with it and try to be polite. Like the guy at the airport in Florida. I should have just told him to fuck off when he didn’t back off and called him on his shit. It is hard to do though because that’s not what we’re taught. It does take practice.

Lol. That’s strict villain shit right there.

That was actually really interesting. Thinking of cults being not only actual cults but ways of thinking. Like needing to drink to have fun or needing to look perfect to be successful.

I like the list of things she learned from her therapists. I’ve considered going to a therapist, but like how does one go about that and do I have to have like an event or a reason to start going?

That was different than what I normally read. Despite what the time it took me to read this says I did enjoy it. It was more like a conversation or listening to a friend ramble about past stories.

Ouran High School Host Club Volume 3

Not sure what to say. I forgot where we left off and the description just has the premise of the whole series.

I’m surprised how closely this follows the show. We went to the beach and had the mean dudes. Then her scared of storms. The girls from the Zuka club came to try to steal her. Also, Tamaki dreaming that she lived in squalor and visiting. I do like the little extras at the end though those are fun. I can’t wait until I get past the end of the show and on to new stuff though.
