Prospect

Date read: June 5, 2021 – June 6, 2021

Author: Erin Trejo

Series: Soulless Bastards MC: No Cal Chapter #4

Nuts is a prospect for the club trying to patch in. He’s got a thing for Cherry one of the club whores. She’s got a past that’s gonna catch up with her. I didn’t like the last one so I’m not sure about this one but it’s the last one in the set so feel like I should finish it.

Oh Cherry. Even if he tells. You didn’t consent and the club guys will love you more than they already do. They’ll look out for you. I want you to tell them.

Ok I liked this one. Poor Cherry she had a rough life, but now she gets happiness with Nuts. Also, Justin is dead as he should be.

Tic

Date read: May 29, 2021

Author: Erin Trejo

Series: Soulless Bastards MC NO Cal #3

Back to the soulless bastards. So Tic has a son who he adores and his baby momma left him and Jameson. Ashley quit her job and went to the clubhouse and she’s now helping take care of Jameson and falling for his dad. Until all hell breaks loose when baby momma shows back up.

That was good Ashley. Don’t panic him or anything.

Oh no Ashley. What did they do to you? Are you going to be ok. You need to be ok. I need you to be ok. I feel like I missed some important chunks here. Like J being kidnapped and her being beaten and raped. We just like skipped all of that.

What the hell just happened! After all Ash went through she dies! I’m not ok right now.

That was really weird. I don’t think I liked it all that much. So Ashley dies with J in her arms then we skip a year and Tic and Kenderly get together and are apparently meant to be together. I think either we needed the first part of the book to be from Kenderly’s perspective or the Ashley part to be shorter. Then the Ashley afterlife chapter at the very end was super weird. Also, we didn’t have anything with her dad except that he’s out of jail and coming after the club, but then nothing happened. I didn’t like this one very much.

Saving Scout

Date read: December 26, 2020

Author: Khloe Wren

Series: Charon MC #5

Back to the Charon MC. It’s Scout’s turn to open his eyes to love. Marie has been in love with Scout since she escaped to the protection of the club. He was too young when Marie showed up and wasn’t ready to settle down. When he asks Marie to hire his ex that’s the last straw for her and she decides to take a weekend away to sort out what she wants. He realizes he wants her and goes to claim her only to find them both in trouble.

Aww this prequel is set about a month before I was born. Sorry random I know.

Well that was sweet and sad and an emotional roller coaster ride. She takes her weekend and Scout shows up to tell her he loves her but he kinda bungles it up. She left before he woke up. Then on his way to make things right he gets captured. Sarah, Marie’s foster sister, comes to get her to save Scout. It was all a trap. This crazy dude was upset that Sarah and Marie got away from the iron hammers but left his sister who was sold to a Mexican brothel and killed. Sarah ended up dying, I was kinda hoping she’d be ok since we got a chapter from her perspective. Marie and Scout adopted Ariel, Sarah’s daughter, and are now pregnant with one of their own. I liked it. I’ll probably get the rest of the series at some point.

Claiming Tiny

Date read: December 11, 2020

Author: Khloe Wren

Series: Charon MC #4

I think this description is wrong. I thought this was Tiny’s story, but the description was about Scout. Any way this should be a quick read.

Well that was quick. She had escaped a commune and was at the club as a whore, but fell for Tiny. When she thought he rejected her she ran. The commune guys caught her first. The club saved her but like really do all the girls have to get beat up before they get their happily ever after? Anyway Tiny claims her as his old lady.

Chasing Taz

Date read: December 10, 2020 – December 11, 2020

Author: Khloe Wren

Series: Charon MC #3

Moving right along. Taz’s turn. He’s gonna fall for the uptight FBI chick. Of course our player would go for an FBI agent. This is gonna work out swell.

Ah yes she’s an accountant. This book just got better.

I love Silk. I’ll get you tatted up just tell me what you want girl. Well maybe start small. No don’t tell her that you’ll have a full sleeve before she has that baby. That gives us three months totally doable. Lol. She’s great.

Well I like these. This one was good too. Although I’m not quite sure why she thought she wouldn’t be able to come back after going up to Dallas to quit her job. It was still really good though.

Fighting Mac

Date read: December 9, 2020

Author: Khloe Wren

Series: Charon MC #2

I’m giving up on the previous book I was trying to read. Back to the Charon MC. It’s Mac’s turn to fall. We got a glimpse of his past in the first book. At the end of book one he was going to revamp the club gym and start a women’s self defense class. Here we go.

Aww Mac. His sister was murdered and he feels like he let her down and blames himself.

Well at least she could be proud of her dad unlike Silk. The narcolepsy thing was weird. Overall though it was good. Obviously since it kept me engrossed to where I stayed up to finish it (I started it when I got home from work).

Inking Eagle

Date read: December 5, 2020 – December 6, 2020

Author: Khloe Wren

Series: Charon MC #1

I’m not going to meet my goal this year, but I’m gonna try to get close. This one is a biker romance. Her parents died in 9/11 and she was taken in by her uncle the VP of a biker gang. As a daughter of the club she’s off limits, but Eagle is going to claim her as his as soon as he’s patched into the club. It’s a good thing cause he’ll need to protect her from her father’s past.

Well that was exciting. That had a good pace it kept things interesting. Her dad was kinda dumb but I do think he loved her. I’m glad they were able to get the mob off of her. Then the ending was so sweet. He got the tattoo she designed for him, she told him she’s pregnant and he proposed. I liked it. I’m also glad they decided to ditch the FBI guy that was their original reason for joining the club.

Sinner’s Steel

Date read: August 9, 2019 – August 14, 2019

Author: Sarah Castille

Series: Sinner’s Tribe Motorcycle Club #3Sinner's Steel

It’s national book lovers day. Zane’s turn. We knew he had been hurt before. She’s the one that got away. She’s still in love with him, but she’s currently dating the leader of the Jacks. Although I thought that was what’s her face’s dad which is just blechy. It’s ok I’m sure she’ll come to her senses and get with Zane.

Ugh. It just makes me cringey that she’s sort of dating Arianne’s dad. It’s just not good from any angle.

Omg she totally got pregnant from Zane and he has no idea. And the kid he saw her with was his. He’s gonna freak when he finds out.

Oh honey. Viper is way more evil and blood thirsty than Zane.

Oh this is not good. This is very bad. Like extremely bad. I’m not sure this could get worse. And T-Rex he’s gonna be murdered. I’m gonna cry.

So I liked this one but it was a bit more sad than the others. T-Rex was killed, which was just heartbreaking. On the good side though Zane is no longer wanted for murder. He met his son and his son is finally calling him dad. They’re gonna be a biker family. She’s wearing his cut, he got a mini cut for Ty because of his bravery and they just bought a house. I liked it but there were parts of it that drug on or I just wanted to slap Evie because she was being so naive or hypocritical. I bought the last one though so hopefully that will be here soon.

Beyond the Cut

Date read: July 23, 2019 – July 25, 2019

Author: Sarah Castille

Series: Sinner’s Tribe Motorcycle Club #2Beyond the Cut

This is another sinners tribe motorcycle club book. Now it is Dawn and Cade. Dawn is friends with Arianne she used to be in the biker life but left that all behind her and she has one or two kids. When Arianne got mixed up in the Sinner’s Dawn met Cade and they had a couple wild nights together, but she just wanted the night not commitment. For once Cade the commitment phobe actually wants to commit and Dawn doesn’t. He’s gonna convince her he’s all in during this book.

Dawn wants to be a CPA. That’s awesome. I didn’t think there would be much I could relate to in these other than living vicariously through their adventures.

Hmm I have a feeling that’s not Jagger. It’s probably Dawn and she’s in trouble.

I liked this one too. I think my only pet peeve about this one was the wishy washy back and forth of are we into each other enough for a relationship or just a good time. There were a few times after she got custody of her girls that I wondered where they were. I liked how she grew and cane out of her shell. I liked that Tia first spoke to Cade when he came to save them. I wish we could have gotten Cade’s reaction to her I’m pregnant announcement instead of ending the book there.

Kincaid

Date read: January 22, 2019 – January 23, 2019

Author: Marie James

Series: Cerberus MC #1Kincaid

I’m going to start this as one entry per book but I may decide later to make this about the whole set. It looks long enough that each can have its own. Our hero is an ex marine and now prez of an MC. It’s obviously a romance but I have no idea what his girl’s story is based on the description. I’m not sure about this one.

Lol this book now speaks to me on a nerdy level. Our main bikers road name is Kincaid for Thomas Kincaid. For those who don’t know Thomas Kincaid paints these really elaborate detailed paintings. I love his Disney ones and they’ve made them puzzles that are ridiculously difficult because of how his colors blend and transition as well as all the small little details he includes.

I liked this one. So one of the reviews I read said she thought she fell into a relationship with no hesitation after being abused for so long and that didn’t seem realistic. I didn’t get that vibe. I felt like she knew that she deserved better and she was actively looking for a way out because she knew she deserved better. Then she was hesitant and jumpy with Kincaid for awhile as she should have been. The part that didn’t seem real to me was the healing time for her ribs. It’s like she got to the clubhouse and they were magically healed. Bruised bones take forever to heal. Other than that I enjoyed the story. I’m glad her sleaze husband is dead. I’m not sure we got enough background on Wrench for me to get behind his death as easily as her husbands, but I’m sure he deserved it. I think I’ll start the next one tomorrow.
