I enjoyed that. It was a bit sad that the Sandseed guy died and I’m not sure what they’re gonna do with the sword but it was a fun short story.

Moving right along. Yelena has been confirmed as a soul finder which apparently have a bad rep. The power seems to drive them a bit crazy and they go a bit too far. Anyway people get a bit scared of her and the council has to decide her fate. While they are doing that a magician that she’s already defeated is rising against her homeland. Hmm would that be Zaltana land or Ixia? Hopefully she gets reunited with Valek by the end.
Demanding much? Moon man just sent her a note, “ I found what you seek. Come.” That’s it end of message. Lol
Well that’s encouraging. Having your story weaver tell you there’s no hope for you.
So how does Yelena make money. She’s bought cloth, and clothes and food but she doesn’t have a job and has kinda been on the run for awhile. How does she have money to pay for things?
That’s horrible but I mean most of them do kinda hate you so it might be nice if he kills the council. It would put the kingdom in turmoil though and provide an opening for Cahil to take over.
Kiki is my spirit animal. It’s nap time, what about that snooze you had before I groomed you, that was the prenap. Lol yes
Finally done. We defeated the evil power hungry magicians and trapped their souls in glass animals. Yelena is reunited with Valek and both kingdoms are on their way to peace.

I know I’m slightly out of order but I was trying to find somewhere to buy these but it looks like they were only released as audiobooks and on her website. This is between book one and two. An assassin is after Yelena and doesn’t want her going home. Valek has to protect her.
Well that was interesting. It was from Valek’s point of view which was new. Also I now need to know what a jaydai quest is. Anyway this was good.

Moving right along. Yelena is fleeing Ixia to avoid an execution order. She’s hoping to be reunited with family and find where she fits in. Only Sitia is unfamiliar, and she’s treated like an enemy even by the long lost family she is meeting. She’s also having trouble controlling her powers. Let’s go.
Oh we have a map this time.
Oh her poor brother. He was with her when she was taken and he’s searched for her up until the day she came back. It’s so sweet and sad all at the same time.
Of course it isn’t your parents who are torturing and killing people on the plains. Come on one they’re your parents two that’s way to obvious.
She is a soul finder. I don’t exactly remember what that means.
I’ve been reading and curare has sounded familiar like it was in another book I read, but I can’t remember and it’s bugging me.
Of course he wasn’t going to come at you directly. Geez. Of course he’s gonna use Opal to drug you.
And we leave tons of unanswered questions. Cahil is not royal but now bent to kill Valek and Yelena. Yelena is the liaison for Ixia but has to finish her magical training first so she’s back at the Citadel to complete that. Valek is still protecting the Commander so they are still separated. Oh and we’ve confirmed she’s a soul finder.

Trilogy one of Ixia. Yelena is about to be executed for murdered and is offered another option. She can either be executed or become the food taster for the commander of Ixia. Of course it’s not going to be that easy. Disasters keep coming and she develops powers she can’t control. I’ve read this before but it’s been like six years so I don’t know if I’ll remember much.
Well Reyad was a dick and deserved to die. I can’t remember but I feel like it went beyond the tests and whippings. Then I don’t remember why Margg dislikes her so much.
Aww aren’t they cute. Finishing each other’s sentences. I wish I remembered more about this book.
Ok was that just a hallucination or is the Commander really a girl. I can’t remember and it’s so frustrating.
Duh. Have we learned nothing. Mo whatever is the evil mage dude that’s currently in the castle. Grr. Come on girl you’ve got magic too figure it out. Following him is a bad idea.
Well we killed the evil magician that had been in the kingdom for over ten years planning to take over. Everyone is ok. The commander is female but pretending to be male because that’s what he associates with. He’s back in control of himself, but because Yelena has magic he signed her death warrant. Valek has refused to carry it out. She’s currently heading to the south kingdom with others with magic to reach safety, find her family and train to use her powers. Valek and Yelena are in love and have promised to find each other again.

Moving right along. Guy is going to find a girl and fall for her. His girl is half Fae too. Her father is a Fae lord and he abandoned her. She has become a thief and a spy. Guy will have to work with Holly in order to find the key to peace.
Since Lucius left? What are you talking about you know exactly what happened to Lucius and this is just in your head you can speak the truth there.
“He broke in. He attacked us. We took steps.” Lol that’s one way to put it Simon.
I wish we had gotten to follow Guy as he found out that she was a spy. Also, this puts her a bit in a bind with the spell her father laid on her.
Can you tell me anything? No. Do you know where they are? No. Do you have a plan? No. Perfect this is just my kind of mission. Guy I think you may have been dropped on your head as a child or taken too many blows to the head.
Whew. I’m done. Sorry I was on vacation which surprisingly did not leave a lot of time to read. I know I’m way behind my reading goal now. Anyways the book. They go to the veiled court and Guy kills Cormen. They were able to warn the Fae queen of the plots against her. Holly traded her favor for the queen fixing Guys Templar tattoos instead of anything for herself. She’s now working for the Templar’s and Guy went to find her and sort of tell her he loves her. It was good. I’ve got two more to go.

I’ve decided I’m going to do a finish that series fall. I’ve realized I have quite a few series that I either own the whole set or stopped with only one or two to go. So I’m going back and finishing those. I was going to start with Fire Kin, but I don’t remember what was happening in this series so I’ll do a full reread. Our girl is half Fae and they don’t accept her. They think her soulless, an abomination. She’s a wraith and in the service of a Blood Lord, Lucius. The City is divided the Blood and Beast rule one side the other is Human and Fae protected by the males and a tenuous treaty. She is sent to kill Simon, a sunmage who grants her mercy and wants to set her free.
Of course his cab drivers name is Higgins. That’s a good devoted servant name.
Well other than being addicted to a sadistic bastard’s blood the orgasm thing doesn’t seem that bad. I can see why humans get hooked on vamp blood.
This kinda reminds me of Throne of Glass with Celena and Arobyn. It’s Lily and Lucius minus the blood addiction.
Smart man. Don’t tell the trained assassin that you are helping her because you’ve got the hots for her and want her in your bed.
“I wasn’t talking to Simon. Talking would lead to either kissing or punching him.” Yes because the two are so similar it’s hard to tell which option will win.
Well that’s one way to react when you are touched by a man for the first time. She shadowed. He is lighting the sun lamp while they make love so she doesn’t vanish again.
Well we killed Lucius and cured her of the Blood addiction. Lily is going to stay with Simon and possibly take up gardening.

I’m in a Highland mood. It helps I’m watching Outlander. In this one our Laird was put under a spell and played the part of sleeping beauty for five centuries to be awakened by the kiss from a lovely lass. He has to get back to his time and save his people. He’d need help from the bewitching lady to get back. Gwen went to Scotland looking to shake up her life and maybe find a man. She didn’t expect to be swept back in time.
He totally just kidnapped her. This is great. I’m so glad he did that she needs some excitement in her life.
His younger self is a jerk. I kinda hope he gets his head out of his butt before his brother dies.
I didn’t see that happening. She got sent back to the future. How did that happen?
So I still liked this one but I’m not sure I liked it as much as the others. How is this one connected to the ones with Adam? I do think it’s romantic that he slept for five hundred years again to be with her. Although I wish we had had a bit more with the family that lived there after he woke up. It just felt like it ended a bit abruptly. Overall though I really like these books. The next one is about his brother. He went dark to save Drustan from a fire.

This is a four book set. They are just novellas so I’m only going to one entry for all of them. First up is Alphas Heir. Orson is running from commitment and Casey just wants to cook good food. Not quite sure how their paths cross but sure, whatever.
Well that was interesting. He was the Alpha’s only son. The alpha had arranged this marriage with another clan (he’s a bit old school). Neither party wanted that. Orson wanted Casey. They had two weeks together then he challenged his dad for the position of Alpha by first blood. Orson drew first blood but his dad disregarded the rules and attacked after first blood was drawn. He ended up backing down and Orson asked Casey to marry him.
Alpha’s Mates: Cleo’s turn. She’s CEO of a huge company. Obviously one mate won’t be enough and they apparently own a ranch.
Well that was clever. The witches cursed her so no electronics would work for her and teleported her to the middle of nowhere. I’m impressed she could get that deal figured out and the witches to agree in less than a week. Here’s where magic is cool she can work on the other side of the country, but still be home to her guys every night. The witches have them a waypoint in the field.
Alpha’s Domain: Sally just found out she’s a witch and Ben is trying to avenge the murder of his clan by witches. Yeah this is gonna work out.
I’m sorry he’s not mad at witches. He thinks the attic goblins killed his clan.
They got justice for his family. While she got the information needed she didn’t really learn to control her magic. Also there was so much damage to the hotel.
Alpha’s Christmas Flame: in this one we have a firefighter and a billionaire. I’m not sure who the supernatural one is.
The way humans get the sight is weird. I’m glad he is able to be healed. I felt like the beginning was a bit slower than the others.
Overall these were pretty good for novellas. I may try a full length book by these authors.
