This is a box set that I’m going to write as one entry. We start with A Gentleman’s Promise. Here we go.

A Gentleman’s Promise: I felt so bad for her. I didn’t understand her relationship with Mason. I think I needed a bit more with them to get it. Then her dad not believing him but then when she says she’s leaving her husband he’s totally chill and supportive. Meh.

A Captains Order: um wow that just happened and I didn’t even get any of the good stuff. She spent six months on a ship and slept with the captain out of wedlock and we didn’t get any details. Oh wait we have his chapter now and we go back in time. We might get some details. Wow. That went around a bit more than expected considering how short it was. I was kinda hoping she was pregnant.

A Marriage Made in Mayfair: I’m confused I thought he sold all his horses and carriages. Hmm. I’m not quite sure why her brother was so mad at him that he couldn’t even let his sister be happy. There were some inconsistencies in this one. Then she was three months pregnant and y’all had sex so you saw all of her, how did you not know dude.

I think the second one was my favorite, but they were all alright.

One of my Facebook groups was talking about this one. Well the second one really but they said to read book one first. Our couple is trapped in an elevator and apparently things get a bit spicy.

Yeah I may never go into an elevator in California ever. Good thing I live in Texas and we don’t really get earthquakes or I’d probably never go in an elevator again. I like their building relationship though.

Last one finally almost done. Based on the description I’m not sure I’m going to like this one. He’s a hot shot chef. She’s a college student wanting a waitress job. She ends up in his bed pregnant with his baby.

Hmm yeah I think that was my least favorite one. It also seemed kinda short compared to the others.

It’s Xander’s turn. He meets the girl of his dreams spends the night with her. She then shows up at his office the next day and is his newest employee.

That was slightly different. She had to pretend to date the guy she was protecting. I kinda wish she would have decked him for being touchy. Then she got shot again and she was pissed about being shot twice in one year. She caves to Xander and they get married.

Guy rule seven, it’s only stalking if you get caught. Rhys sees Macy in a coffee shop and knows she’s the one. Without talking to her obviously. So he follows her across town to a sex shop. Um yeah I’m sure that’ll work out.

Hmm. I did like that we had the bit of drama with him getting her the sort of in with the publisher that he knows. Meh. I’m almost done with this set and right now that’s what it has going for it.

Changing things up a bit. This one is vampires and ménage apparently. The most recent reviews were pretty good and it’s short. We’ll give it a whirl.

That was interesting. I liked the drama the ex employee dude brought. Also, the reference to miss congeniality. I do kinda feel like Jude could have been a bit more alpha in the bedroom and more could have been done with their relationship and dynamic.

Meh. He should have said something when they met that he used to work there. Then they should have come clean from the start that they were involved and dropped the case. I don’t know. I felt like there could have been more to it.

I’m going to suffer through another one. Guy rule number five. Don’t knock up a girl then disappear for a year. Well at least this will be slightly different. They won’t marry during the pregnancy if he disappears for a year.

Yeah right. This bitch read those emails and deleted them. She wants you for herself and is shady enough to one let your girl think you abandoned her and two never tell you you have a son who’s almost a year old. I wonder how you find out? I hope you make the bitch pay.

Of course it’s her fault. You need to take the bitch down.

Ok this one was better. We had some drama with the stalker chick. He was completely oblivious though. I think there could have been some hints earlier on that she was stalking Aspen, but overall this one was better than the others.

Guy rule number four, never fall for a one night stand. Declan falls for the prima ballerina. She can’t forget him and finds him again right as she finds out she’s pregnant.

I’m not sure about these anymore. It feels like the same story. She accidentally gets pregnant, he claims her as his, they move in together and get married before the baby is born. Then in the epilogue they have more kids because he kept her pregnant. I don’t know I think I’m just bored with these.

Back to some historical romance. Lady Eleanor knows what she wants, a husband to worship at her feet. Her father has other plans and marries her off to the arrogant and dominant Lord Edwin. Come on girl of course you are going to luck out and he’s going to be handsome and you’ll have a thing for that Dom voice that’ll make you weak in the knees.

Wow her dad works fast. He already has her engaged and the wedding will be tomorrow.

This is so not the right approach. This is what got her in trouble in the first place. She was allowed to get away with things. I’m not sure this is the best plan.

What a terrible ending. Edwin thinks his marriage is perfect and Eleanor is all distraught that she has fallen in love with her husband. There? That’s where you decide to leave that tragedy. To make it worse the epilogue is of Hugh’s soon to be bride who is in love with someone else’s husband and doesn’t want to marry Hugh.
